"life near the edge"

After 40 years working on high performing teams, I'm convinced that the successful folk are those who in the words of Abraham Maslow, "choose to step forward towards growth rather than back towards safety"

Whilst personal time to reflect and recover in a safe psychological space is vital to support wellbeing, growth is impossible without spending some time feeling uncomfortable. The World is a tough place to live, every behaviour is under scrutiny and these days, it seems that it is all recorded on a phone or tablet somewhere!  

As my own physical and mental 'close to the edge' experiences start to reduce, I'm convinced that Stoicism should be the guiding light! I'm also set on passing on my learnings to support and encourage others to grasp the nettle..........

My mantra, to learn something new every day still applies, even as I enter my sixth decade!
